Today, we had a creative exercise where we went outside of the classroom to do a photoshoot. Our lesson started with an inspiring presentation about photography and the history of the first pictures ever made. Our tutor then showed us some photos taken by Terry O'Neill.

Later, I practiced my photography skills by taking pictures at the DMU Vijay Patel building, a location I specifically chose for this purpose. Equipped with a Sony Cybershot DSC-400 (which I had booked for the lesson), I experimented with taking both low and high-angle shots. Although I didn't have a specific plan in mind and had never used a camera like this before, I was pleasantly surprised at how enjoyable the process was.

"I didn't change the settings much, but the sunlight completely altered my exposure, which affected the lighting in the pictures. For my final project, I chose to use two pictures - one taken from up close and the other from further away."

In this picture, I tried to convey a certain mood. I believe that each person who looks at this picture will interpret its meaning in their own unique way. Some may see a girl from the back, gazing into the distance and worrying about her life. Others may see a girl filled with hope, waiting for her next adventure. And some may not see any meaning at all. Personally, I enjoy the enigma of this picture and have named it "Girl in a Hat".

I love how the person looks against the sky. It creates a sense of open space and emphasizes the shapes, making an angle clearly visible. I also love the contrast between the modern structures and the carefree girls, just reading a book. It adds a unique aspect to the photo, showcasing the harmony between urban style and natural life. The combination of airy space, distinct angles, and the interplay of modernity and nature is truly captivating to me. I named this picture 'Despite All Worries'.
I enjoyed working on my photography project. Using a small camera, I was surprised by how many beautiful details were around us, and moreover, I had a chance to capture them. It was satisfying to save these moments, not only in my memory but also through photographs, creating a visual diary.

A little confused about this post - I am glad that you enjoyed the exercise but you should have been photographing people as it was portraits you should have been creating here - you will need to use what you have now and create a final outcome
